About the event

Instructor, Sarah Uys, Art Director of the Centennial Park Library, will cover the basics of using Procreate for IPads in your art practice.  Participants will learn about features that make this software a favorite among artists everywhere, including gestures, shortcuts, color, ways to create our own palettes, brushes, layers and more.

Next, we will discuss some of the ways in which we can use Procreate to help us level up our traditional art. Some of these include trying out tweaks on your artworks risk free, creating thumbnail sketches, studies, planning sketches and more.

Lastly, we will try out a feature that will retrain our brains to think of color differently and level up all our art, colorblind painting. This will be a fun way to explore the fundamentals of art and design from a new perspective.

Please bring your lunch and a drink.  And, plan to have a great time learning something new.  We grow artists at the Guild!
