Next Steps in Wood Carving

Next Steps in Woodcarving picks up right we left off in the intro class.  We dig deeper into all aspects of relief carving, including: reading project prints, how to incorporate your own ideas into patterns, learning what the rest of the chisels in the set are used for, and most importantly, how to sharpen each of your chisels to achieve maximum enjoyment from your carving work. All wood is supplied as well as another set of heavy duty chisels and a mallet for the figurative and walking stick classes.

Students complete another take-home project and begin an additional project of their own choice!  Upon completion of this course students will be able to choose from a variety of classes like 3D figurative carving, wood spirit walking stick carving, or advanced relief carving that will impress everyone who sees your work!
